The Pee-Wee Herman Show is making its return with a new show, which will be put on at “The Music Box” theatre in Los Angeles. Read more and see photos and video here.

Pee Wee Herman

The show is being called a “brief revival,” for the Pee-Wee Herman character, portrayed by Paul Reubens. The shows will take place the The Music Box theatre, from November 8-19 in Los Angeles.

The creators are calling it a “re-imagined” version of the original Pee-Wee Herman Show, but it will include Miss Yvonne, Mailman Mike, Cowboy Curtis, Jamie, and Genie!

As you may know, The Pee-Wee Herman show originated in the theatre, but soon made its way to television in 1981 with Pee-Wee’s Playhouse. What kid didn’t want the automatic breakfast machine??

After the TV show, Pee-Wee made his big screen debut with Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure. Big Adventure was followed by Big Top Pee-Wee, which was more of a rehashing of jokes from the first film.

Some of my favorite quotes from Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure were:
–“…tell ‘em large Marge sent ya.”
–“…there’s no basement in the Alamo!”
–“…it sounded like a garbage truck falling from the Empire State building!”

What do you think, will the new Pee-Wee Herman show do well at The Music Box theatre in Los Angeles?
