Marissa Jaret Winokur’s son Zev Isaac may be growing up quickly, but don’t they all? Zev is now 15 months old, but raising the little guy hasn’t been so easy for Winokur. No doubt a first born child is often times difficult to raise as prior experience with little ones may not be there. But, Marissa claims she may be poisoning her son with her unhealthy food decisions. Read more here!
At this point in her life Marissa Jaret Winokur is making a change. Not only is she on a mission to better herself and get herself back on the right track health-wise, she feels this decision will benefit her son Zev Isaac.
Thirty-six-year old Winokur is currently residing at the Biggest Loser Resort in Utah and she is determined to lose twenty pounds. In a video diary shown on “Extra,” Winokur admits that she’s not just trying to lose weight for herself.
She says, “I realize I think I’m poisoning my son. I know that sounds very drastic, but I think I feed my son all the wrong foods and I feel like a horrible mom, and I feel like I really need to go home and make him the right food.”
The former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant realizes that the struggle to teach kids proper nutritional habits is one she shares with fellow mothers — but a habit she needs to kick.
“I’m sure every mom out there understands — he likes mac n’ cheese and he likes hot dogs,” Winokur says of feeding Zev, adding that she contacted her husband Judah Miller and “said that we have got to get on track, and really refocus what we’re feeding Zev … because it is so not okay.”
About living at the Biggest Loser Resort she says, “I’m really glad I’m here. I’m really tired, but I feel like this is going to change not only my life, but it has to change my son’s because he’s too young, and it’s not fair.”
Good for her! Hopefully she reaches her goal and is able to be a role model for her son Zev Isaac.
