Actress Michelle Stafford is expecting a baby girl who will be delivered via surrogate this coming December. Michelle announced the wonderful news today.
Michelle Stafford, best known for her 15 year run on the Young and Restless as Phyllis Summers, is expecting her first child! The actress announced the wonderful news today in an interview to People magazine, in which she told them,
“After a three-year journey through hell, I’m elated, ecstatic and feel ultimately lucky to be able to announce I’m expecting my own child via surrogate in December. I never wavered in my desire to be a mother. But I did waiver on aspects of the process. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life.”
The Emmy winning actress, who is 43, has tried several times to become pregnant, going through all types of measures to conceive. According to the magazine, she has tried artificial insemination, in vitro fertilization, and also looked into adopting before deciding that a surrogate was best for her.
Stafford worked closely with Dr. Buylos at the Fertility Miracles surrogate agency and plans on being very hands on through out the entire process, including being in the delivery room for the birth of her daughter. Yes, that is right! While announcing her good news, Michelle also revealed the sex of the baby!
I wonder what kind of baby name she will go with, simple and classic or Hollywood eccentric?
So readers, tell us your thoughts – what do you think of the whole surrogate process?
